Bangladesh vs. Afghanistan
After India beat Australia by 24 runs on Monday in Saint Lucia, it meant that the second spot, which guarantees a semifinal matchup with South Africa, was still up for grabs for the other three teams in the group.
As things stand, Afghanistan has the best chance of reaching the last four because a win would get them four points and past Australia. On the other hand, Bangladesh’s odds are the worst because they need to win a lot to get their net run rate above Australia’s. Both teams hope to reach the Super Eights semifinals for the first time, with the Tigers aiming for their first victory.
Highlights Of Bangladesh Vs Afghanistan
In T20Is, Afghanistan holds a head-to-head advantage over Bangladesh with six victories to Bangladesh’s five in 11 encounters. However, Bangladesh defeated Afghanistan by nine wickets in the 2014 T20 World Cup, their only meeting.
After four T20 World Cup matches, the Arnos Vale Stadium in St. Vincent, where the match will be played, has an average first innings total of 132. While Afghanistan pulled off a historic upset over Australia at the venue, Bangladesh prevailed in both of their group-stage matches against Nepal and the Netherlands.

Statements Of Both The Team Players Of The Bangladesh vs Afghanistan
Here are the statements of both team players:
Rashid Khan
It’s a dream for us to be in the semi-finals. The way we started the tournament, the belief came when we beat New Zealand. It’s unbelievable. The only guy who put us in the semi-finals was Brian Lara and we proved him right.
When we met him at a welcome party, I told him we won’t let you down. We thought 130-135 was a good score but we fell 15 runs short. We knew they would come hard at us and we knew that is what we could take advantage of.
Najmul Hossain Shanto
I think we bowled really well. As a bowling unit, we did a lot of good things. But as a batting unit, we made some poor decisions, especially in the middle overs.
The normal plan was first three wickets go hard, especially in the first six overs, and if we lose early wickets we play normally. But we didn’t execute that. The whole tournament we bowled really well, especially Rishad the new guy who came and bowled really well, I am really happy for him.
